Regional Data Coordinator – Uganda

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a skilled Data & Analytics Coordinator to lead regional data processes, manage field trials, and turn field insights into strategies that increase farmer impact across eastern Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the set‑up, deployment, and management of digital survey tools such as CommCare, SurveyCTO, and KoboToolbox for efficient field data collection.
• Clean, structure, and analyze large field datasets using advanced Excel techniques to produce actionable strategies.
• Oversee regional R&D field trial operations, integrating feedback from field managers and back‑checkers.
• Train, upskill, and mentor regional teams and field staff on survey design, data hygiene, and data collection tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in data and analytics, managing regional data processes, or field operations.
• Strong expertise with digital data collection platforms (CommCare, SurveyCTO, KoboToolbox).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data cleaning, formula creation, and handling large datasets.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and build capacity, including training non‑technical field staff.
• Excellent problem‑solving, quantitative analysis, and team‑leadership capabilities.
