Sales Associate – Insurance Agency

About the role

The Sales Associate will work on‑site in Kampala for an insurance agency, identifying new business opportunities and presenting insurance solutions to clients. You will build relationships, manage leads and support the sales pipeline to achieve targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new leads through market research and outreach.
• Conduct client meetings, understand needs and present tailored insurance proposals.
• Prepare quotations, sales proposals and follow up to close deals.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM and update sales reports regularly.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure correct delivery of services.
• Respond to client inquiries, address concerns and support ongoing account management.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in sales, business development or customer‑facing roles.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and follow up consistently.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and comfortable learning insurance products.
• Relevant education in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
• Experience using presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with CRM or sales tracking systems.
