About the role
Uwezo Microfinance Limited is seeking motivated Sales and Credit Officers to join its Mbarara branch. The role combines client acquisition, loan assessment and repayment collection, supporting the micro‑finance mission of providing affordable credit.
Key responsibilities
- Review loan requests and assess customers’ financial status.
- Evaluate creditworthiness and associated risks.
- Contact customers to gather financial data and documentation.
- Prepare loan applications and calculate financial ratios such as credit scores and interest rates.
- Collect repayments from customers when required.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records of loan applications and monitor progress of existing loans.
- Follow up with customers on loan renewals and maintain good relationships with business partners and local authorities.
- Participate in sales campaigns to attract new borrowers.
Required profile
- Entry‑level qualification.
- At least 12 months of relevant experience.
