Sales Engineer – TAFE Diesel Generators (Onsite - Kampala)

About the role

Ready to grow your career in power equipment sales? We are looking for a driven Sales Engineer to expand the market for TAFE Diesel Generators across Uganda. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting customers, finding new business, and turning opportunities into sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for diesel generators.
• Visit customers and markets to generate enquiries and build relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, and commercial clients.
• Understand customer power needs and propose appropriate generator solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate prices and commercial terms, and close sales.
• Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
• Track visits, enquiries, quotations and sales activities, and provide regular pipeline reports.
• Travel across Uganda to meet customers and develop new markets.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• 4 to 6+ years of B2B sales experience in engineering or industrial products.
• Proven ability to generate new business and meet sales targets.
• Strong network among contractors, developers, consultants, procurement teams and commercial customers.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Uganda.
