Senior Associate, Emergency Referral Systems

About the role
The Senior Associate will support the design, implementation and monitoring of emergency referral systems in Uganda, working closely with government partners, health facilities and CHAI teams to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and operationalize referral system strategies aligned with national health policies.
- Coordinate with health facilities to ensure timely referrals and data flow.
- Collect, analyze and report on referral performance indicators.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity‑building to local partners.
- Support integration of digital health tools for referral tracking.
Required profile
- University degree in public health, health systems, or a related field.
- At least three years (36 months) of experience in health program management, preferably in emergency referral or digital health.
- Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies and multi‑sectoral partners.
- Strong analytical, communication and reporting skills.
