Senior HVAC Technician

About the role

Dietsmann is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician to lead preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems supporting critical process, electrical, control and telecom rooms in continuous‑production plants.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, split units and associated piping.
• Monitor vibration, temperature and operating parameters of rotating equipment; calibrate thermostats, pressure switches, sensors and control devices.
• Perform chilled water analysis, filter and coil cleaning, and ensure proper refrigerant handling and disposal.
• Verify and troubleshoot Building Management System (BMS) interfaces and HVAC automation.
• Mentor Ugandan technicians, support commissioning, start‑up, shutdown and preservation activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, LOTO procedures, permits and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial HVAC and refrigeration maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of HSE rules, permit‑to‑work and LOTO procedures.
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• Willingness to work onsite in a plant environment.
