Software Engineering Trainee (Full‑time, Kampala)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Software Engineering Trainees to join our development team in Kampala. Starting on 1 September, you will work full‑time on‑site, gaining practical experience in building back‑end systems while receiving mentorship from seasoned engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in real software development projects and contribute code to back‑end components.
• Design, implement, and test server‑side functionalities using object‑oriented principles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to solve technical challenges.
• Attend training sessions and mentorship meetings to accelerate skill development.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals.
• Proficiency in back‑end web development and general software development.
• Experience with programming and object‑oriented programming.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn in a dynamic, startup‑like setting.
• Bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field is preferred.
