Product Manager - Security (Ubuntu Platform)

About the role

The Product Manager – Security for the Ubuntu Platform will lead the product development lifecycle, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and drive the product vision across engineering, design, marketing and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle, set priorities and goals for the security product line.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales to align on priorities and keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
• Run usability testing, analyse user feedback and iterate to improve the user experience.
• Develop go‑to‑market strategies, create product documentation and provide training for sales and support teams.
• Oversee consistency in strategy and execution across multiple product teams.
• Facilitate collaboration, resolve conflicts and support international travel for company events.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
• Strong understanding of Linux and the open‑source software community.
• Passion for writing about technologies and the tech landscape.
• Strong work ethic, curiosity and continuous‑learning habit.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year.
