Staff Writer

About the role

Arena Magazine is looking for an ambitious Staff Writer to help launch and grow its digital presence. You will be one of the core writers for the online edition, shaping editorial direction through your storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Conceive, draft, and publish both short‑form and long‑form stories for the website.
• Pitch story ideas, write pieces that are green‑lit, and meet daily publishing targets.
• Collaborate with editors, edit columnists’ and guest contributions, and ensure quality standards.
• Develop sources, conduct interviews, and build a network of industry contacts.
• Work with the growth team to maximize reach, including newsletters and email products as needed.

Required profile

• Strong writing ability with clear, engaging prose.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently and work independently.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a startup environment.
• Willingness to engage the audience in good faith and promote transparency.
