About the role
The University seeks a full‑time Counselor to support students in achieving their personal, spiritual, and academic goals. This position works on‑site and may require evenings and weekends, especially during crisis situations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual, couple, and group counseling to students, including mental‑health assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
- Offer counseling services to faculty and staff to address student‑related developmental concerns.
- Develop and deliver educational and prevention programs that promote emotional wellbeing and personal growth.
- Coordinate with campus offices, serve on committees, and participate in admissions and orientation activities.
- Maintain accurate student records and assist with outreach events across campus.
Required profile
- Commitment to the Christian mission of the university and regular participation in a local church.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and occasional overtime in crisis situations.
- Professional conduct that reflects the moral standards of a Christian institution.
