Tax Senior

About the role

Crowe Uganda is looking for a motivated Tax Senior to join its Tax & Regulatory Services team in Kampala. You will work closely with senior managers and partners on a variety of tax engagements, gaining exposure to advisory, compliance, transfer pricing, audits and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax computations, returns and statutory filings.
• Support tax advisory and structuring engagements.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation and reviews.
• Analyse tax assessments and draft objection submissions.
• Support tax audits, investigations and dispute resolution matters.
• Conduct technical research and prepare reports, opinions and client correspondence.
• Liaise with the Uganda Revenue Authority and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• CPA(U), ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Taxation or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant tax experience.
• Practical exposure to tax assessments, audits, objections and compliance engagements.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax legislation and IFRS fundamentals.
