Tech & Operations Assistant – Part-Time

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, tech‑savvy Tech & Operations Assistant to support a range of business and administrative activities in our Kampala office. This part‑time role (three days a week) is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning quickly and working independently without constant supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and update WordPress websites, including creating and editing pages.
• Upload, format and troubleshoot website content.
• Design simple graphics using Canva.
• Conduct online research for leads, suppliers, properties and other projects.
• Organise information in spreadsheets, digital files and Google Docs/Sheets.
• Prepare basic documents, presentations and invoices.
• Assist with applications, forms and online submissions.
• Support day‑to‑day business and administrative tasks, tracking deadlines and follow‑ups.
• Utilise AI and other digital tools to improve efficiency.
• Take on other reasonable tasks as required.

Required profile

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Curious and resourceful, comfortable researching unfamiliar topics.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of WordPress.
• Basic Canva/design abilities.
• Proficiency with Google Docs and Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Comfort using AI and other digital productivity tools.
