Technical Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Consultant to design, install and commission a range of electronic security solutions for our clients in Kampala. The role involves hands‑on work with network infrastructure, CCTV, access control, metal detectors and alarm systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and install network systems supporting security equipment.
• Install, commission and configure CCTV surveillance systems.
• Set up access control devices, including fingerprint, facial recognition and card readers.
• Install walk‑through metal detectors and alarm systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all installed equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in security hardware and network connectivity.
• Respond to customer service calls and technical support requests.
• Coordinate with the sales team during site surveys and solution implementation.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification.
• At least 12 months of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Network installation and configuration.
• CCTV system installation and commissioning.
• Access control system setup (fingerprint, facial recognition, card access).
• Metal detector installation.
• Alarm system installation.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of security equipment.
