About the role
War Child Canada is seeking an experienced consultant to lead a participatory co‑creation workshop and develop a comprehensive proposal for a follow‑on programme in Uganda. The programme will expand education‑to‑work pathways for refugee and host‑community youth, with a focus on young women and youth with disabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate a participatory co‑creation process involving War Child Canada, consortium partners, and relevant stakeholders.
- Consolidate workshop outcomes into a coherent programme design, including Theory of Change, implementation approach, and intended results.
- Draft, refine, and finalise a high‑quality programme proposal incorporating feedback from all parties.
- Collaborate closely with War Child Canada’s Programme and Finance teams to ensure alignment between technical design and budget.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all project governance requirements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in programme design and proposal development within the humanitarian or education sector.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate multi‑stakeholder workshops and co‑creation processes.
- Strong analytical, writing, and results‑based management skills.
- Familiarity with Theory of Change methodology.
- Experience working in Uganda or comparable contexts is preferred.
