Tele Sales Intern – Customer Service & Loan Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Tele Sales Intern to join our customer service team in Kampala. You will support loan product promotion and assist customers through multiple communication channels while gaining hands‑on experience in the finance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries via calls, emails, chat and social media.
• Assist with loan application processing and KYC verification.
• Resolve complaints, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Promote Zenka’s loan products and referral programmes.
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure data confidentiality.
• Educate customers on responsible borrowing and repayment options.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve the overall customer experience.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Customer Service or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in debt collection, customer service or call‑center operations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays and rotational schedules.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional handling of challenging conversations with a customer‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
