Accountant – Full Time

About the role

The University seeks a full‑time Accountant to manage both external and internal audit processes, budgeting, and financial reporting. The role involves overseeing payroll and supervising accounting staff while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage external and internal audits.
• Prepare, monitor and control the university budget.
• Produce financial reports and analyses for decision‑making.
• Process payment and adjustment vouchers.
• Reconcile control accounts and report anomalies.
• Oversee campus payroll and cash/petty‑cash reconciliations.
• Train and supervise accounting personnel.
• Maintain safe custody of financial documents and perform routine bank reconciliations.

Required profile

• Full professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or CIA).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an accounting/finance focus.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in a recognized institution.
• Strong team player with high confidentiality.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Committed practicing Christian.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Pastel accounting software.
• Proficiency with SAP accounting modules.
