Accounting and Finance Trainee

About the role
TechBuzz Hub, a centre of excellence in coworking, training, mentorship and startup incubation in Uganda, is hiring a full-time Finance and Accounting Trainee starting 1 December 2026. The role sits within its Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program (GPAP), which offers 2 years of experience in 3 months to graduates and career changers, with mentorship, coaching and placement support.
Key responsibilities
- Learn and manage accounting software
- Data entry
- Assist with financial statements
- Use analytical skills to assess financial data
- Support finance-related tasks
Some work is done in the office in Kampala, with flexibility for some field work.
Required profile
- Pursuing or completed degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- A background in accounting is sufficient
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Required skills
- Financial statements and accounting software
- Risk and financial management
- Financial planning, cash flow forecasting and investment analysis
- Analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
