Assembler – Manufacturing Assembly

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assembler to join our manufacturing team at Falls Fabricating in Kamwokya, Uganda. The role involves reading basic prints, handling materials, and assembling a variety of equipment and parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Read basic prints and shop routing instructions.
• Measure and cut components using tape measures and calipers.
• Lift up to 75 lb occasionally and 35 lb frequently.
• Assemble tanks, kit parts, packages, and components for drop‑shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory and submit Kanban cards when supplies run low.
• Create and maintain 5S‑compliant work areas and assembly bays for specific customers.
• Operate basic hand tools and follow ISO‑9001 quality procedures.
• Report non‑conforming products and participate in quality audits.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach continuously.
• Physical capability to lift and move materials as described.
• Basic understanding of ISO‑9001 quality documentation.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and follow management instructions.
• At least one month of manufacturing experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Use of measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers.
• Knowledge of 5S workplace organization.
• Familiarity with Kanban inventory control.
• Understanding of ISO‑9001:2015 quality system.
