About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor will support the daily operations of the housekeeping department at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that the facility maintains high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of the housekeeping team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure all areas of the hospital meet established cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Supervise laundry operations, guaranteeing timely and proper handling of linens and garments.
• Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing any complaints or issues.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Keep the housekeeping department organized and operating efficiently.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory skills with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
• Experience in housekeeping and laundry operations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning and sanitation.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• At least a diploma‑level education.
