Boys Freshman Soccer Coach

About the role

The Upland Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Coach for the Boys Freshman Soccer team. This position involves leading, training, and mentoring young athletes while promoting a safe and positive sporting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct practice sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.
• Manage game day logistics, including line‑ups, substitutions, and post‑game analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including concussion, sudden cardiac arrest, and heat illness prevention measures.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and equipment.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administrators regarding schedules, expectations, and progress.

Required profile

• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Current Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Heat Illness Prevention certificates (renewed every two years).
• Two recent letters of recommendation dated within the past twelve months.
• Proof of high school graduation or equivalent.
• Completed resume and non‑discrimination statement acknowledgment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals and coaching techniques.
• Ability to teach and motivate middle‑school athletes.
• Understanding of youth sports safety standards.
