Business Analyst – Strategic Performance & Portfolio Analytics

About the role

The Business Analyst will provide strategic performance, portfolio and financial analytics to support the execution of Commercial and Enterprise segment strategies. The role enables data‑driven decision‑making aligned with growth, portfolio optimisation and risk management priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Collate, analyse and disseminate performance, industry and market data to track client, sector and market trends.
• Support segment strategy delivery by driving aligned initiatives, KPIs and monitoring budget and profitability performance.
• Own monitoring and reporting of strategic deliverables, producing insight‑driven reports and dashboards for Segment Heads.
• Evaluate financial and non‑financial performance to identify portfolio trends, customer behaviour shifts and operational bottlenecks.
• Provide portfolio and credit analytics, recommending strategies to optimise asset quality and risk‑adjusted returns.
• Build and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships to coordinate cross‑functional engagement and deliver value propositions.

Required profile

• First degree in Business, Commerce or related field from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with a solid understanding of business strategy and analytics.
• Proven experience in performance tracking, KPI reporting and strategic initiative monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research, data collection and analysis across market and industry information.
• Experience preparing presentations, dashboards and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
