About the role
The Uganda Heart Institute is hiring a Cardiac Critical Care Orderly in Kampala. The role provides supportive, safe and compassionate care to cardiac patients under the supervision of nursing and medical staff, helping with patient mobility, hygiene, comfort and transportation, and keeping the wards clean and orderly.
Key responsibilities
- Keep wards clean and in orderly condition.
- Transport patients to and from wards, procedure rooms and diagnostic units.
- Send orders and pick up supplies, linen and drugs.
- Deliver patient laboratory samples to the laboratories.
- Maintain sterility and hygiene in the unit.
- Deliver and retrieve contaminated and sterilized instruments to and from the sterilization unit (CSSD).
- Pack swabs and preparation materials.
Required profile
- O-Level (Uganda Certificate of Education) certificate.
- Training in any health-related attendant course is an added advantage.
