Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Global Operations

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer will provide strategic and operational leadership for Raising The Village’s global operations, ensuring the systems, people and infrastructure are in place to scale impact across Sub‑Saharan Africa. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will be central to expanding the organization’s proven model for ultra‑poverty alleviation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Raising The Village’s global operations.
• Oversee field operations, digital platforms and data systems to ensure coordinated program delivery at scale.
• Be accountable for end‑to‑end performance of Procurement, Facilities, Fleet, IT (excluding Venn), Legal, Health & Safety and Operational Planning.
• Drive operational excellence, disciplined execution and cross‑functional alignment across multiple Sub‑Saharan African countries.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to build systems, people and infrastructure needed for rapid growth.

Required profile

• 15+ years of senior operational leadership experience.
• Proven ability to scale complex operations across several countries.
• Experience managing procurement, facilities, fleet, IT, legal, health & safety and operational planning functions.
• Strong strategic thinking and execution skills in a mission‑driven environment.
