Claim Follow-Up Specialist

About the role

Reveloop is seeking a Claim Follow-Up Specialist to support its behavioral health billing clients in Kampala. The role focuses on resolving unpaid or denied claims, ensuring timely reimbursement and contributing to the financial health of client practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct persistent follow‑up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance payers.
• Analyze denial reasons, identify root causes, and develop action plans for resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather documentation and prepare appeals.
• Maintain detailed records of follow‑up activities and claim statuses in internal systems.
• Monitor claim aging reports and prioritize work based on financial impact.
• Communicate professionally with insurers and stakeholders to obtain status updates and clarification.
• Research payer policies, coding guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health coding and billing guidelines.
• Familiarity with insurance payer claim processing systems and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
