Club and Activities Manager

About the role

The Club and Activities Manager leads the daily operations of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) facilities, providing fitness guidance, bar service, and social programming for installation personnel. This role ensures a safe, welcoming environment while coordinating a variety of recreational and hospitality services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver exercise programs, conduct fitness testing, and lead group classes for MWR users.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and safety procedures.
• Manage bar inventory, ordering, and point‑of‑sale transactions, including cash drawer oversight.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar tools, glassware, and equipment; open and close the bartending station.
• Organise and schedule social events, team sports, and club activities.
• Monitor staff performance to ensure high customer service standards.
• Perform equipment inspections and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience coordinating team sports, recreation clubs, or social events; MWR or military experience preferred.
• Physical ability to work in remote or adverse conditions and handle long hours.
• CPR and first‑aid certification preferred.

Required skills

• Point of Sale (POS) software operation.
• Inventory control and ordering.
• Cash handling and drawer management.
• Knowledge of alcohol safety procedures and bar terminology.
• Basic understanding of exercise science and fitness programming.
