Community Services Assistant – Safe Water Program

About the role

The Community Services Assistant (CSA) works directly in the field to connect the Safe Water Now program with the communities it serves. The primary goal is to guarantee a continuous supply of chlorine and the proper functioning of chlorine dispensers, helping households access safe drinking water.

Key responsibilities

• Install chlorine dispensers at water points according to organizational protocols and technical specifications.
• Deliver chlorine to designated dispensers by motorcycle, maintaining a consistent supply at all assigned locations.
• Perform regular hardware service and maintenance checks to ensure dispensers operate correctly.
• Handle, store, and account for chlorine and dispenser stocks safely both in the office/store and at field sites.
• Complete required forms and documentation to support accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
• Engage target communities through meetings, outreach, and education activities to raise awareness of safe water practices.

Required profile

• Field‑based role requiring frequent travel to remote water points.
• Ability to build relationships with community members and local promoters.
• Responsibility for handling chlorine safely and maintaining accurate records.
