Consortium Manager

About the role

The Consortium Manager serves as the operational and strategic hub of the VITAL humanitarian action, leading coordination and quality delivery across multiple partners and sectors in Uganda. Reporting to IRC as the lead partner, this role ensures integrated implementation of protection, cash assistance, and epidemic response activities for refugees and host communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the VITAL consortium, acting as the primary focal point for IRC, LWF, URCS, AWYAD, and external stakeholders such as UNHCR, WHO, and district authorities.
• Ensure cohesive "one‑team" implementation across Protection, Multi‑Purpose Cash Transfers, and Epidemic Preparedness and Response results.
• Oversee monitoring, reporting, and compliance to donor (DG ECHO) requirements and IRC standards.
• Facilitate joint planning, budgeting, and resource allocation among consortium partners.
• Represent the consortium in high‑level meetings, ensuring timely decision‑making and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in humanitarian program management and multi‑partner coordination.
• Strong understanding of protection services, cash‑based assistance, and epidemic response in refugee settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with ability to work across diverse cultural contexts.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive results in complex, resource‑constrained environments.
