Construction Supervisor (US Navy Program)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Construction Supervisor to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates for construction and engineering projects and supporting proposal development for government contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates using RFP documents, drawings, specifications, historical data and pricing information.
• Plan and sequence construction activities, identifying labor, material, equipment and subcontractor requirements.
• Analyze construction documents, blueprints and bills of material to determine production costs.
• Maintain cost models and estimating databases for proposal support.
• Revise estimates as project scope or customer needs change and prepare compliant cost‑reimbursable estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, subcontractors and vendors to gather cost data.
• Support proposal pricing activities for domestic and international government opportunities.
• Provide QA/QC support throughout the estimating process and assist with government audit requests.
• Mentor less experienced estimators and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of construction estimating or government contracting estimating experience.
• Proven ability to develop construction cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs.
