Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Intern

About the role

The Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Intern will join the Client Service Section of the Regional Service Centre in Entebbe, supporting the Quality Assurance and Business Intelligence Unit. Working under the supervision of the Chief of Unit, the intern will contribute to data‑driven decision making across the centre’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, source, mine, clean and analyse data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights.
• Develop analytical reports, dashboards and visualisations that inform operational and strategic decisions.
• Conduct quality‑assurance reviews of reports, data and processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Business Intelligence and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, user guides, job aids and procedures.
• Assist in creating management reports, presentations and other communication materials using Microsoft 365.
• Monitor data quality and support data‑management activities to maintain data integrity.

Required profile

• Works under the supervision of the Chief of Unit.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
