Deputy Chief – Procurement and Disposal

About the role

Busitema University invites applications for the position of Deputy Chief – Procurement and Disposal within the University Secretary's Procurement and Disposal Unit. The role supports the Chief in overseeing procurement activities and disposal processes across the multi‑campus institution.

Required profile

• A Master’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies, Business Administration (supply chain management) from a recognized institution, and full professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
• An Honors Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, or Business Administration (procurement option) from a recognized institution.
• At least six (6) years of relevant experience, with three (3) years at a senior level in a reputable organization or industry.
• Computer knowledge of standard desktop applications is mandatory.
• Age limit: must not have reached fifty (50) years of age by the application deadline.

• Submit three signed sets of applications together with a detailed CV, names of three referees, academic certificates, transcripts, copies of appointment letters, and three recent passport photographs.

• Deliver applications to the Office of the University Secretary or the Liaison Office at Lincoln Flats A2, Makerere University no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, 25 August 2023 (East African Time).
