Employee Relations Supervisor – HR

About the role

Twyford International Uganda is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Supervisor to support the launch and growth of its manufacturing operations in Kapeeka. The role focuses on fostering positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with Ugandan labour laws, and acting as a key liaison between staff, management, and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve employee relations issues in line with company policies and Ugandan labour legislation.
• Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on workplace conduct and employee relations matters.
• Coordinate disciplinary hearings and grievance investigations, preparing all required documentation.
• Liaise with government and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with employment legislation and support inspections.
• Maintain accurate employee files, personnel records and HR reporting requirements.
• Support onboarding, separation processes and assist with HR policy implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Law or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in employee relations or HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Uganda Employment Act and related labour regulations.
• Proven ability to handle disciplinary and grievance processes professionally.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Uganda labour law and statutory compliance.
• Experience with personnel records management and HR documentation.
