Energy Sector Manager

About the role

Provide sector leadership and expertise for the Energy sector across origination, solution development and execution by producing high‑quality research, analysis, insights and advice that strengthen the client franchise and position the Bank as a trusted sector partner. The role involves conducting market research, developing financial models, and partnering with deal teams to originate opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sector, market and client research to identify trends, risks, opportunities and business drivers.
• Develop and maintain sector‑specific financial and forecasting models that support insight‑led decision‑making.
• Produce sector reports, publications, presentations and advisory positions for client engagements and industry forums.
• Partner with relationship, product and deal teams to originate opportunities and develop compelling client proposals.
• Analyse target clients’ strategies, financial performance and value drivers to inform relevant solutions.
• Track client, sector and market performance indicators to support sustainable growth and pipeline conversion.
• Build strong networks across the sector ecosystem and represent the Bank as a credible thought leader.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulatory requirements and business controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business, Commerce or a related field.
• At least seven years of relevant experience in banking, sector coverage, research, analytics, origination or a related commercial environment.
• Strong Energy sector knowledge, including market dynamics, competitors, regulatory developments, challenges and opportunities.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modelling, quantitative analysis and preparing high‑quality client or industry presentations.
• Experience working in cross‑functional origination or deal teams and engaging with industry stakeholders.
• Strong computer proficiency and the ability to translate complex information into clear commercial insights.
