Event Marketing Specialist – Drive Brand Awareness

About the role

HRLeverage Africa is seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to plan, coordinate and execute promotional events, trade shows and in‑store activations. The role is full‑time and based on‑site in Kampala, supporting the company’s brand awareness and revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop event concepts, themes, budgets and timelines for physical, virtual and hybrid events.
• Coordinate logistics including venue selection, catering, branding, registrations and guest management.
• Execute events on schedule and within budget while ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Conduct post‑event evaluations, prepare performance reports and track lead generation.
• Identify and secure event sponsors, create sponsorship packages and manage sponsor relationships.
• Generate qualified leads through events and support follow‑up with the sales team.
• Manage relationships with speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, media partners and attendees.

Required profile

• Proven experience in event marketing, planning and execution of trade shows.
• Background in retail sales or trade‑show environments with a focus on audience engagement and lead generation.
• Ability to work on‑site, manage multiple events simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
