Fabrication Engineer – Metal Production

About the role

The Fabrication Engineer will lead and support metal‑fabrication activities for components such as enclosures, battery cases, cabinets, and mounting structures. Working on the Kirolo Production Site, you will combine hands‑on engineering execution with day‑to‑day supervision of a small team of technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cutting, bending, welding, drilling, grinding, finishing and assembly of metal parts.
• Operate and supervise CNC press brake, CNC fiber laser cutter, welding machines, grinders, drill press, press‑fit machine and other workshop tools.
• Create, edit and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, bend drawings and flat patterns.
• Set up CNC parameters, nesting, bend angles, tooling selection and material settings; troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Apply and supervise welding techniques for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Supervise and coach fabrication technicians, allocate daily work, monitor safety and productivity.
• Inspect fabricated components against drawings, tolerances and quality standards.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with CNC fabrication machinery (press brakes, laser cutters).
• Practical welding knowledge across multiple metals.
• Experience supervising a small team of technicians.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files.
