Finance & Administration Manager – Uganda

About the role

The Finance & Administration Manager will support Seed Global Health’s Uganda program, overseeing financial and administrative functions in a fast‑growing environment. Based in Kampala, the role reports to the Country Director and works closely with the Global Finance & Operations Manager and program teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit periodic financial reports of the Uganda program to the headquarters in Boston within agreed timelines.
• Manage the accounting system, ensuring proper segregation of donor funds and compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
• Serve as the focal person for Sparkrock 365, providing training and support to the country team.
• Monitor budgets, generate budget‑to‑actual reports, and flag significant financial issues to the Country Director and Global F&A team.
• Liaise with external partners such as banks, auditors, government agencies, vendors, and attorneys as delegated.
• Lead the Uganda Finance/Administration function and supervise a Finance Officer, Administrative & Logistics Officer, and Driver.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a non‑profit or development context.
• Familiarity with donor‑fund segregation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ability to supervise and mentor a small finance and administration team.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Sparkrock 365 accounting system.
