About the role
Chloride Exide Limited, a leading energy solutions provider in East Africa, is seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Intern to gain hands‑on exposure to finance operations across multiple brands and locations.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily sales reconciliations across platforms, brands and branches, including M‑Pay, card, cash and bank.
- Process supplier invoices and support accounts payable.
- Investigate variances, missing payments, refunds and discrepancies.
- Assist with month‑end close, stock takes and food‑cost reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports for the Finance team.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree completed in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
- CPA Part I+ or pursuing CPA(K)/ACCA preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
- Organised, proactive and able to follow up on unreconciled items.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Exposure to accounting systems and M‑Pay reconciliations is a plus.
