About the role
SMARTEC ELECTRONICS LTD is hiring a Flame Welding Operator in Kampala (Kamwokya). The role involves welding pipelines according to work instructions and product specifications, with attention to quality checks, equipment care and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Weld pipelines according to the work instruction and product specification.
- Set and verify welding parameters before starting and whenever the product model changes.
- Record welding data on the production log accurately and on time.
- Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance of the welding equipment, including torches, hoses, regulators and gas connections.
- Inspect welds visually and separate any defective units.
- Observe fire and gas safety rules at all times.
