General Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The General Manager leads Hilton Kampala, the first Hilton hotel in Uganda, overseeing all operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences and uphold the brand’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel operations, ensuring seamless, consistent service that reflects Hilton’s high standards.
• Manage revenue, budgets, and cost controls to achieve financial targets while fostering innovative guest experiences.
• Lead capital projects, refurbishments, and service initiatives to maintain operational excellence.
• Set and execute short‑ and long‑term strategic goals for the property and the Hilton brand.
• Provide visionary leadership to the executive team and staff, embedding Hilton’s values.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, auditors, and Hilton stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as General Manager in a full‑service hotel, with strong commercial and F&B performance.
• Experience operating in emerging markets, preferably Africa, and developing local teams.
• Track record of driving innovative commercial growth, especially in food‑beverage and MICE operations.
• Strong stakeholder management with delegations, embassies, UN agencies and corporate clients.
• Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent; fluency in English.
