Geography & Entrepreneurship Teacher (Secondary School)

About the role

This full‑time position involves delivering Geography and Entrepreneurship lessons to secondary students in line with Uganda's national curriculum and UNEB syllabus. The teacher will inspire learners through classroom instruction, fieldwork, and practical enterprise projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Geography and Entrepreneurship lessons for O‑Level and/or A‑Level classes.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment schedules, and mark tests, assignments and examinations.
• Organise and supervise fieldwork, map reading exercises, and practical entrepreneurship activities such as student‑run enterprises.
• Guide students in the use of geographical tools (maps, compasses, rain gauges, GPS) and in preparing business plans and enterprise proposals.
• Track learner performance, provide remedial support and prepare students for national examinations (UCE/UACE).
• Integrate cross‑cutting topics such as environmental conservation, climate change, financial literacy and entrepreneurial mindset.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of teaching experience in secondary education.
• Familiarity with Uganda’s secondary curriculum and UNEB examination requirements.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons for diverse learning styles.
• Willingness to mentor students interested in geography, environmental science or entrepreneurship.
