Head of Bancassurance (Uganda)

About the role

Turaco is seeking a high‑impact Bancassurance Leader to drive growth across its banking, micro‑finance and SACCO portfolio in Uganda. This senior position will own the end‑to‑end partnership lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to securing long‑term revenue streams.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for achieving ambitious bancassurance revenue targets in Uganda.
• Build and aggressively manage a high‑quality pipeline of partnership opportunities.
• Lead the complete deal cycle – from origination and pitching to final closure.
• Structure partnerships to ensure long‑term, scalable and sustainable revenue.
• Design and execute a sophisticated go‑to‑market strategy aligned with Turaco’s vision.
• Identify and prioritize high‑potential partners and anchor institutions.
• Assess commercial opportunities for scalability and revenue impact.
• Collaborate with product teams to provide market‑led insights on design, pricing and positioning.
• Build and nurture C‑suite relationships with banks, micro‑finance institutions and SACCO leaders.

Required profile

• Proven track record in driving bancassurance or similar partnership growth.
• Strategic thinker with a hunter mindset, capable of unlocking high‑value deals.
• Strong executive presence and ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Experience shaping market strategy and managing full sales lifecycles.
