Instructor Driver

About the role

Prestige Driving School is seeking a qualified Instructor Driver on a contractor basis to deliver both classroom and on‑road training to learner drivers across Uganda. You will be the face of the school during up‑country sessions, ensuring a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set ground rules for training sessions, covering phone and laptop use, vehicle parking, time management and expectations.
• Record participant enrolment, verify driving permits and maintain attendance sheets.
• Administer and mark pre‑training and post‑training theory tests (oral or written).
• Deliver interactive classroom sessions using flip‑charts, Q&A techniques and group discussions.
• Conduct close‑range exercises and on‑road driving assessments, providing clear written feedback.
• Submit completed assessment forms promptly to the training administrator.
• Assist the training manager in onboarding new learner driving instructors.
• Arrange classroom setup, install and dismantle audio‑visual equipment, and distribute program materials during up‑country trainings.
• Liaise with the training administrator to adjust training logistics and resolve issues on site.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Valid Ugandan driving permit.
• Entry‑level qualification with at least five years of driving experience (60 months).
• Ability to conduct both classroom and practical on‑road training.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
