Van Driver – Eastern Region (Sales & Distribution)

About the role

MTN Uganda is looking for a reliable Van Driver to support its Sales & Distribution activities across the Eastern Region. You will provide safe transportation for staff, equipment and authorised passengers during activations, field visits and other official operations.

Key responsibilities

• Transport employees, passengers and cargo while complying with traffic laws and MTN safety standards.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, keep the van clean and road‑worthy, and report any faults promptly.
• Support regional activations, customer engagements, events and urgent assignments as required.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, fuel, mileage and service records and protect company assets.
• Uphold MTN’s professional brand image and deliver courteous customer service.

Required profile

• Minimum UACE or equivalent qualification.
• Valid passenger‑van licence and at least 3 years of professional driving experience.
• Proven experience driving minibuses with 15+ passengers and a clean driving record.
• Good knowledge of Eastern Uganda’s roads, towns and rural routes.
• Fluent in at least two local languages, preferably Lusoga and Luganda.
• Physically and mentally fit with high integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Basic vehicle inspection and routine maintenance knowledge.
• Proficiency with smartphones, navigation apps (Google Maps) and messaging tools (WhatsApp).
