Loan Officer – Financial Services

About the role

Lecole Finance Ltd is seeking a full‑time Loan Officer to join its growing team. The role involves evaluating loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, and guiding clients through the loan origination process across any of the company’s branches in Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Meet prospective and existing clients, explain loan terms, and collect required documentation.
• Conduct financial and credit analysis to support underwriting decisions.
• Monitor loan performance and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely loan processing and a positive client experience.

Required profile

• Experience in loan origination or similar loan officer roles.
• Diploma or degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics or related field (preferred).
• Willingness to relocate and work at any Lecole Finance branch in Uganda.
• Strong ethical judgment and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Understanding of lending processes and documentation.
• Basic financial analysis and credit assessment abilities.
• Proficiency with loan management or finance‑related software.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
