About the role
The Loan Officer will build relationships with clients and communities, assess loan applications, and manage a healthy loan portfolio for WASHI Microfinance Uganda.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, recruit and maintain strong relationships with potential clients.
- Assess loan applications through field visits, business evaluations and financial analysis.
- Facilitate loan processing, disbursement and ensure timely repayments.
- Manage and grow a loan portfolio while minimizing overdue loans.
- Provide customer service, financial guidance and maintain accurate records and reports.
Required profile
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Microfinance or related field.
- 2–5 years of microfinance experience preferred.
- Willingness and ability to conduct regular fieldwork; motorcycle riding skills are an advantage.
