Local Fundraising Specialist

About the role

The Local Fundraising Specialist will lead the design and execution of fundraising initiatives that support GLOFORD's mission to empower youth and communities across Uganda. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to senior leadership and works closely with both rural and urban stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential local donors, partners, and corporate sponsors.
• Write compelling grant proposals and funding applications aligned with organizational goals.
• Plan, launch, and manage fundraising campaigns and events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, community leaders, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and donor‑specific requirements.
• Coordinate community outreach activities to mobilise resources.
• Prepare regular fundraising reports and performance dashboards for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and proposal writing.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience in project management, event planning, and campaign implementation.
• Knowledge of financial budgeting and donor compliance processes.
• Understanding of community development and youth‑empowerment initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fundraising, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
