Long-Term Occasional Secondary Technological Education – Transportation Teacher

About the role

The Halton District School Board is seeking qualified educators for Long‑Term Occasional (LTO) secondary contracts in Technological Education – Transportation for the 2026‑2027 school year. Candidates will teach designated transportation technology courses across two semesters, supporting both intermediate and senior students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum‑aligned instruction for transportation technology classes in designated periods.
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials.
• Utilise Brightspace and other online learning tools to enhance student engagement.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with school board policies, including background checks.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate in good standing.
• Both Intermediate and Senior qualifications in Transportation Technological Education, plus at least two senior teachable subjects.
• Criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening completed prior to start.
• Commitment to the LTO model for the specified contract periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Brightspace learning management system.
