About the role
We are looking for an experienced cook to supervise our school lunchtime and canteen operations. The role combines food preparation with a strong focus on child nutrition and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare daily meals and snacks for children according to the school menu.
- Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Organise and keep the kitchen clean and well‑stocked.
- Collaborate with school staff to design balanced, nutritious menus that meet dietary and allergy requirements.
Required profile
- Previous experience working in a school, preschool, or child‑focused catering environment.
- Knowledge of child nutrition, dietary restrictions and food allergies.
- Responsible, meticulous, and consistent in maintaining cleanliness.
- Friendly attitude and positive interaction with children.
Required skills
- Food safety and hygiene compliance.
- Menu planning for children.
- Understanding of allergy management in food preparation.
