Marketing Executive

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Executive to join our hospitality team in Kampala. In this full‑time position you will support the Sales & Marketing department by handling guest interactions, promoting the Marriott brand and driving revenue through effective up‑selling and loyalty initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest calls, requests and problems, providing solutions and maintaining high satisfaction.
• Apply sales techniques to maximise revenue, including up‑selling rooms, rewards points and ancillary services.
• Process reservations, changes and cancellations via phone, fax or mail and enter data into the Marriott reservation system.
• Manage Marriott Rewards transactions, redeem points and issue complimentary gifts.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing and faxing to support the Sales & Marketing team.
• Assist management with employee training, motivation and role‑modeling.
• Uphold company policies, maintain professional appearance and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in sales, marketing or guest services.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
