About the role
One Acre Fund is seeking two Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) interns for a 4‑6 month placement in Uganda. Interns will join a dynamic MEL team, supporting data‑driven decisions that improve farmer productivity and incomes across the organization’s portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and analyse primary data collected from farmers and market surveys.
- Develop visualisations and compile findings into actionable reports and automated dashboards.
- Assist the MEL leads in preparing data summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the design and documentation of monitoring frameworks and learning activities.
Required profile
- Degree or ongoing studies in Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience handling large datasets and performing data cleaning.
- Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a small, rural‑based team.
Required skills
- Proficiency in R or Stata for data manipulation and analysis.
- Competence in creating data visualisations and report writing.
