Nutrition Officer – Humanitarian Program

About the role

The Nutrition Officer will provide technical, operational and administrative support for nutrition programmes within LWF Uganda’s humanitarian response. Reporting to the Livelihoods and Nutrition Coordinator, the role ensures effective planning, implementation and monitoring of nutrition interventions for vulnerable populations in the Palorinya Settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Implement nutrition interventions in line with project documents and standard operating procedures.
• Manage food stores and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and use findings to inform programme adjustments.
• Support project development, planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Deliver training, mentorship and capacity‑building activities for sector staff.
• Facilitate networking, partnership development and knowledge management.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced professional with a background in nutrition programmes and humanitarian contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project documentation and ensure timely delivery of results.
• Strong understanding of capacity‑building and staff development processes.
• Experience working with vulnerable communities and coordinating with UN agencies and donors.
